The wonderful world of Phoenix trading

A lovely lady I met, Jo, is a phoenix trading representitive. If you haven't seen these card and gift wrap... YOU NEED TOO!!

The cards are just beautiful and so reasonably priced. The quality of the cards (paper/ details etc) are unbelievable. The cards are $3.60 each or 10 or more for $3 each.

You can order these cards online through Jo's Website below:

Jo Baines' Phoenix Trading Store

Or you can have your own coffee and card party!!! I had a ball at mine! I enjoyed creating a little easter themed spread for my girlfriends. A great excuse for coffee and cake with my closest pals!

I love being organised and also purchased the card organiser. I love that I now have my cards planned out for the remainder of the year. I feel super organised and I love it!!

Pop on over and visit Jo's site... and you can find her on Facebook. When she reaches 50 likes she is having a giveaway so visit and say hi from me!

Project Life

I have struggled to decide how to keep photo albumns of the girls. Of course Miss 3 has many albums while poor Miss 1 is lucky to have a photo printed!

This year I have taken part in project life and I LOVE IT!

The idea beihind it is to take a photo for 365 days and document it. I personally just do 1 double page per week. It is so excited looking back to the first week in January and seeing all the fun things we got up to and just how much my little girls have grown in 6 months.

The beauty of this system is that it is like scrapbooking for people who don't have the time to scrap anymore. The pages already come divided up into different photo sizes and you just have to slot in your photos and your journalling cards. It is that simple!

I love that project life has encouraged me to make sure I take time to document the small moments in our lives....doing craft, helping daddy in the garden, going for walks etc...

Basically you need to purchase a core kit. there are different styles to choose from...

This is called a core kit. It has all the journal cards and title cards that you will need. There are differnt colour combinations available. This is the AMBER EDITION.

In Australia, our only place to purchase the Project Life kit is from Craft house in NZ

There are many different designs of the page protectors available.

a fairy garden.....

a fairy garden....

Thanks to my lovely friend Felicity for giving me the inspiration for our fairy garden. We had a great time searching for all of our pieces and putting the whole thing together.

Although it is not exactly how I imagined the garden to look, Miss 3 had a ball creating it just the way she had imagined it to be...So with the help of Daddy, the most popular section of our house is now complete.....

The graden that oddly looks like a sea turtle or a giant freckle!

of course i HAD to sneak a little bit of DISNEY in there :-)

enjoy,

Monday 2 July 2012

WOW! It has been a while!I have really missed blogging but things have been a little crazy around here.

I had a rather comical night attempting to make a sponge cake for the first time! I really think Master chef has a lot to answer for. I was pretty confident I had that folding technique in the bag! I found out pretty quickly that that was NOT the case!

After many giggles on the phone to a dear friend...the 4 hr midnight finishing bake off came to an end. All ! had left to show for it was two 1cm high(still shrinking), rock hard cakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started bright and early the next week with my trusty old Gluten Free packet mix and was rather pleased with the outcome!

So what i learnt:
1. dont take your sponge straight out of the oven and remove from the pan (as the recipe on taste.com told me)- It slowly shrivels!!!

2. Dont try to be a masterchef contestant when you are clearly not!

3. It was still fun trying to make the effort to create a cake, with love , from scratch for my dear friend...

Love Jess

PS... i just loved trying out this little paper mini bunting.. if you would like instructions then let me know!
