Sunday Funday
Last Sunday we took advantage of the Sunday Funday rail pass
($2.50 on public transport with children). We caught the train into the city
and changed trains for Museum. We walked through Hyde Park to The Australian
Museum. What a fantastic day we had!
Miss 1 taking a photo of Miss 2 on the train ride....well sort of!
A few tips
*Museum costs $12 (adult) , children $5 and UNDER 5 FREE!!
*we didn’t really need our pram once we were safely in the
Museum. We were able to park it up on level 2 outside the under 5’s area.
* arrived at opening time (9:30am) and there were very few people .*We headed straight to the under 5’s
section and were the only people there. There was so much for the girls to
explore. We then headed straight to the Level 2 Search and Discover section. Later
in the day these areas were much busier.
* I was really impressed with how much hands on experiences
were available for the children.
*we comfortably explored the museum in half a day.
*they also have a cafe with colouring activities to entertain
the kids!!!
*as we packed our own lunch, our day only cost $29. A very
cheap day out in the city if you ask me! !
Princess 1 is still asking to go back a week later.....
Have a great day
Jess
